The Food Safety Authority has withdrawn 16 more products from sale because they have been contaminated with a dye linked to an increased risk of cancer.
70 products in total have now been withdrawn from supermarket shelves because of fears over the use of the illegal dye known as Sudan Red 1, which is a chilli type powder.
Sudan Red 1was banned as a food colorant throughout Europe in 2003 due to its carcinogenic properties.
Details of all contaminated food products can be found on the Food Safety Authority website at www.fsai.ie.
The helpline for the Food Safety Authority is 1890-336677.
