At least 203 people have been killed in an accident in a mine in Fuxin city, in Liaoning province, northeast China.
The disaster is the worst mining accident in 15 years in China, where the mining industry is the most dangerous in the world.
13 workers are still said to be trapped in the mine following the blast, which happened 250m below ground. The accident is believed to have been caused by a gas explosion. A team of 180 rescue workers is at the scene.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the authorities in China have introduced a news blackout on the tragedy.
The local authorities are said to have told local journalists not to report on the accident, and instead only use material supplied by the state-controlled news agency.
