A British man released from Guantanamo Bay last month claims that British intelligence forces were involved in his arrest in Zambia in 2002.
The claim comes in a report in today's The Observer newspaper.
Mr Martin Mubanga plans to sue the British government, according to his lawyers.
The 32-year-old man said he was cruelly abused during interrogation.
He alleges he was beaten, daubed with urine and kept in solitary confinement for long periods.
The US Department of Defence said it has no doubt that Mr Mubanga was properly detained as an enemy combatant under the laws of war.
