Two killed in Gaza missile strike

Two Palestinian militants have been killed following a missile attack in the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis.

The Israeli army confirmed the air force had opened fire on two Palestinians it said were spotted placing bombs in the town and that both targets were hit.

The army said the raids were to stop what it called mortar and rocket attacks on Jewish settlements.

The deaths come a day after Israeli troops killed nine Palestinians in the southern Gaza Strip.
