The Ukrainian opposition leader, Viktor Yushchenko, is calling on his supporters to blockade government offices from early tomorrow morning.
His appeal comes in response to Prime Minister Yanukovich's refusal to concede defeat, despite the fact election officials today confirmed that Mr Yushchenko had won the election re-run.
The Prime Minister says he intends to continue in office, and to hold a government meeting tomorrow.
It is likely that Yushchenko's supporters will blockade government buildings to stop the meeting going ahead.
With the count completed following Sunday’s ballot, Mr Yushchenko claimed 51.99% of the vote and an eight-point lead.
Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich polled 44.19%.
The official preliminary results were compiled electronically and must be confirmed at a sitting of the Central Election Commission.
The historic rerun election was set after an earlier runoff in November, which hailed Mr Yanukovich as winner, was thrown out by the Supreme Court due to widespread fraud.
Sustained widespread protests had followed the earlier result.
