The leading Belfast Sinn Féin member, Gerry Kelly, has refused to confirm or deny claims made last night by DUP leader Ian Paisley.
Mr Paisley said he had information that the IRA was considering decommissioning its weapons, without providing the photographic evidence demanded by the DUP.
Speaking in Belfast, Mr Kelly said he did not want to speculate on the comments by Mr Paisley, but described them as 'bizarre'.
He said the DUP leader had been quoting a source which may or may not be right.
