A week into the Irish Ferries dispute, the Chief Executive of the Irish Exporters Association has called on the Minister for Enterprise, Micheál Martin, to intervene in the dispute.
John Whelan said the parties seemed unable to break the deadlock ahead of the busy Christmas period.
He said freight customers and passengers were becoming increasingly nervous over services over the busy Christmas period.
The dispute at Irish Ferries centres on the implementation of cost-cutting measures at the company in an effort to remain competitive.
