Ukraine's Supreme Court has ruled that a second presidential election will have to be held after the poll staged two weeks ago was deemed invalid.
The Supreme Court's chairman has announced that another ballot should take place by 26 December, with the same two candidates running.
Since the 21 November poll, which was deemed to have been won by Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich, a political crisis has engulfed Ukraine.
The opposition, led by challenger Viktor Yushchenko, claimed the election was rigged to favour Mr Yanukovich.
The Supreme Court in Ukraine has been considering the issue all week.
