The Ulster Unionist leader has said that the British Prime Minister must 'nail down' the IRA on a commitment to fully disarm and end paramilitary activity if Northern Ireland's Assembly is to return.
David Trimble was speaking at party's annual conference in Newcastle, Co Down.
Mr Trimble said Mr Blair had missed an opportunity at talks in September to find out exactly what the IRA were prepared to do to revive power sharing at Stormont.
