Solicitor John Caldwell has confirmed to the Mahon Tribunal that he and businessman Jim Kennedy are joint owners of the Jackson Way lands in South Dublin.
Mr Caldwell said he entered into a partnership in 1987 with Mr Kennedy to buy the 108 acres in Carrickmines as a speculative venture.
Under questioning by Des O'Neill SC for the inquiry, Mr Caldwell said there was no contract between the two men although Mr Kennedy was known to get involved in litigation with his business partners.
He said, in his experience, the relationship between property dealers was very informal.
