A new report suggests that efforts to tackle world poverty and hunger will not work unless developed countries get to grips with global warming.
Research by environmental and development groups says that industrialised nations should cut greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 80% by 2050.
The figure is well beyond the target set by the Kyoto protocol.
