Mahon Tribunal - Evidence continues

A former amusement arcade worker has admitted he was advised he would lose a High Court action against Dublin Co Council over a proposed petrol station development.

Jude Campion has testified to the Mahon Tribunal that he saw the then Assistant City and County Manager George Redmond and Liam Lawlor visit his employer Jim Kennedy at the Amusement City arcade in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Mr Campion was also pursuing his legal action at the time and claimed he saw Mr Redmond walking out of the office of his solicitor Stephen Miley when the case was about to go to court.

Under cross-examination by Mr Redmond, Mr Campion admitted Mr Miley had advised him the legal action was going to fail but said it was too late to get another legal team.
