Up to 100 Israelis are reported to have been killed or injured in an explosion at the Hilton hotel in the Red Sea resort of Taba in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.
Egyptian police confirmed there were at least 23 dead.
Israeli Radio said the explosion at the hotel which is frequented by Israeli tourists was caused by a car bomb.
Shortly after the Taba blast Israeli radio stations reported explosions at two other resort towns in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.
They said the blasts were at the resorts of Nueiba and Ras al-Sultan dozens of kilometres to the southwest of Taba.
Thousands of Israelis have been vacationing in the Sinai Peninsula over the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
