The brother of the British hostage in Iraq, Ken Bigley, says British and Dutch intelligence officers have searched his office in Amsterdam.
Paul Bigley says they copied computer files relating to his dealings with contacts over the kidnapping and forced him to make a five-page statement about his activities in Iraq.
Mr Bigley said the officials wanted to know who he has been dealing with in Iraq.
He says he has had no direct contact with the kidnappers and has instead had messages relayed on by the Arabic television station, Al Jazeera.
The British Foreign Office has denied the claim.
It says no British official of any kind raided Paul Bigley's home.
