Talks today on Waterford Crystal plans

Management and unions at Waterford Crystal met today for talks on new working arrangements for staff at its Waterford and Dungarvan facilities.

The company remains one of the largest single employers in the southeast, but last week announced that 50 contract workers were temporarily being let go.

It is not expected that major job losses will be announced this week, but short-time working at sections in both factories is likely to be introduced.
