Six civilians have been reported killed and nine wounded in an American bombing raid in eastern Afghanistan.
The deputy police chief of Kunar province said eight houses had been demolished in the raid on the provincial capital, Manogi.
The US raid followed attacks by Taliban and al-Qaeda fighters against government positions in the area.
The US military in the Afghan capital, Kabul, said it was checking on the report.
