Affordable housing scheme launched in Dublin

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has launched its first-ever affordable housing scheme at Sandyford in Dublin.

The county is one of the most expensive places to buy property in the country and has one of the highest age profiles of any local authority area as many first-time buyers cannot afford to buy there.

The scheme includes 79 one, two and three-bed apartments, as well as a small number of two-bed houses on Blackglen Road and Sandyford Road.

Prospective buyers need to submit a completed application form to Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council by 27 August.
