An Irish engineer resident in Saudi Arabia has been killed in another apparent attack targeting westerners.
Local police said the man was found dead in his office in the premises of a commercial enterprise in the capital, Riyadh, having been shot four times.
The Dubai-based Al Arabiya satellite news channel said a gunman burst into the office in the al-Rawda neighbourhood and shot the victim in the head and chest.
The man's name has not yet been released in Ireland, but it is understood he worked for a construction company.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it is in contact with the Irish Embassy in Saudi Arabia about the incident.
