There is concern that up to 200 non-bank ATMs in the east could run out of cash this weekend because of an industrial dispute.
Personnel at Brinks Allied said new security vans are designed for use on the continent, and not in Ireland. The personnel are members of SIPTU.
Affected ATMs belong to AIB, Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank.
Customers are asked to use ATMs at bank branches or use the Laser card cash back facility.
