The authorities in Pakistan have arrested a man suspected of taking part in the bombings of US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 in which over 200 people were killed.
The Tanzanian national, Ahmad Khalfan Ghailani, is believed to be a senior al-Qaeda member and is on the FBI's list of most wanted terrorist suspects.
He was among 14 people arrested in a raid in a town 100 miles east of the capital, Islamabad.
