The Canadian government has hinted at further legal and diplomatic action to put pressure on Iran to bring those responsible for the murder of an Iranian-born Canadian photographer to justice.
Canada's Foreign Minister, Pierre Pettigrew, said the trial in Tehran, which acquitted an intelligence agent charged with killing Zahra Kazemi, had done nothing to establish the real perpetrators of her murder.
Canada has already withdrawn its ambassador from Iran in protest at the way the Iranian judiciary handled the case.
