13 dead after police open fire in Baquba

Security forces in Iraq have killed 13 people during heavy clashes in the town of Baquba northeast of Baghdad.

The US military says Iraqi National Guards and police killed the suspected insurgents after they came under fire while assisting US Forces carrying out a raid.

Two Pakistanis feared kidnapped

Meanwhile, it is feared two Pakistanis working for a Kuwait-based company have been kidnapped in Iraq.

Pakistan says an engineer and a driver vanished on Friday as they drove towards Baghdad.

At least 22 countries have been affected by a wave of abductions.
