Relief agencies in Eastern Chad are again supplying food to two camps housing about 43,000 refugees who have fled the conflict in the Darfur region of Sudan.

Operations were halted last week because of disturbances, mainly violence from the refugees.

Security forces from Chad have restored order, but heavy rains are hampering food deliveries.

The Sudanese Foreign Minister, Mustafa Osman says his government are doing all it can, and what they now need is the support of the international community.

Oxfam is meanwhile sending a plane to Darfur today carrying 30 tonnes of water and sanitation equipment.
