Dr Michael Woods has launched the findings of the Oireachtas Foreign Affairs Committee's study of the development aid programme and the political situation in Uganda.
The Chairman of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs presented a copy to Minister of State Tom Kitt.
The report continues the Joint Committee's examination of political, economic and development issues in sub-Saharan Africa and Ireland's involvement.
Uganda has been the subject of much media scrutiny over the past year as allegations of government corruption, involvement in the war in the Democratic Republic of Congo and conflict in the north have been highlighted in the media.
Ireland's development aid programme now has a budget of €480m and this is targeted to expand to around €1bn by 2007.
Last year, Development Co-operation Ireland (DCI) spent over €32m on aid to Uganda.
