The Tánaiste, Mary Harney, has confirmed that she will not be remaining in her current ministerial portfolio at the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment after the cabinet reshuffle.
She made her comments in the context of steering through the recommendations of the Enterprise Strategy Review Group which were published today and which present a blueprint for industrial policy for the next decade.
Ms Harney said she has been seven years at the Department and it was time to apply her mind and energies to new areas of activity.
However, she said the economy was of huge interest to her, and she would not be taking her eye off it 'too much'.
There had been speculation in recent weeks that she would move to the Department of Transport.
Earlier this week, she indicated that she wished to move to a department with a strong reform agenda.
