Diplomatic officials from India and Pakistan have begun two days of talks in an effort to resolve the long-standing dispute over the territory of Kashmir.
The talks in the Indian capital, Dehli, are in preparation for a meeting between the two countries' foreign ministers in August.
The two nuclear powers have gradually rebuilt relations after coming close to war over Kashmir two years ago.
