The president of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf, has warned he will take 'major decisions very soon' if the security situation in the city of Karachi does not improve.
A spokesman said the president was gravely concerned about the worsening situation after an explosion at a Shi'ite mosque killed at least 15 people earlier today.
Fears of sectarian violence had been running high after a senior cleric from Pakistan's majority Sunni sect was gunned down in the city yesterday.
