EBS Treasury raises €500m in bond issues

EBS Treasury has raised €500m through the issue of three-year bonds to a wide range of investors in the euro market.

A total of 46 investors from 12 countries participated in the deal which is the second public bond transaction completed under the Society's Euro Medium Term Note Programme.

The bond issue was launched yesterday on behalf of EBS Building Society by joint lead arrangers ABN Amro and HSBC bank.

It was immediately oversubscribed and the order book closed within 24 hours.

EBS originally sought to borrow €300m but increased the deal size to €500m due to investor demand.
