A new study indicates that young people who go on to third-level education in Ireland are more likely to choose colleges and universities close to home.
The study, which was carried out by the Farmers Journal, looks at the schools from which third-level students are drawn.
The report confirms earlier findings that in Dublin fee-paying and grind schools send more pupils to university than any others.
