The Fine Gael Spokesperson on Finance, Richard Bruton, has said the revelation that AIB had been overcharging its customers on some foreign currency transactions shows there are deeper problems at the bank.
Last week, AIB confirmed that it had overcharged some customers by €14 million.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio, Mr Brutan said the affair showed that AIB staff did not understand their obligations to their customers.
