British military police are investigating new claims that their troops have abused prisoners in Iraq.
They have begun questioning a soldier who is reported to have named colleagues who he claims beat and abused detainees.
The soldier, known only as Soldier C, is the third to have contacted the Daily Mirror newspaper with allegations of torture.
While doubts have been cast on the authenticity of photos already published by the Mirror, Soldier C has said they are genuine.
