The Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny ended his party's Ard Fheis last night with a strong attack on the Government, and an appeal for a united Opposition front in June's local and European elections.
He claimed Fianna Fáil and the Progressive Democrats were trying to fool people all the time in order to stay in power.
Mr Kenny proposed measures to help first-time house buyers, small businesses and stay-at-home parents.
The leader also promised a new Garda Organised Crime Unit.
