Seven Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli troops during an incursion into Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip this morning.
Another 40 more were injured as an Israeli Apache attack helicopter fired rockets at suspected militants.
Israeli troops were patrolling 4km into the Strip, searching for launch sites of Qassam homemade rockets fired into Israeli territory.
Four other Palestinians were shot dead and 25 wounded by Israeli soldiers during an operation in the same area yesterday.
