Two US marines killed in Iraq attacks

Two US Marines have been killed in separate attacks in Iraq.

The US military says one of the Marines was killed in action on yesterday.

The second died after being wounded in a separate engagement west of Baghdad.

Separately, US tanks have been deployed in Baghdad to stop hundreds of angry protestors marching on the coalition's headquarters as Shiite Muslim radicals took to the streets across central and southern Iraq.

Meanwhile in London the British Prime Minister Tony Blair has come under renewed pressure over the war in Iraq.

The pressure follows US Secretary of State Colin Powell's acknowledgement that key pre-war intelligence no longer appeared as 'solid' as originally thought.
