The Labour Relations Commission is expected to renew contact with management and union representatives in the An Post dispute.
Today was the seventh day of the dispute which is affecting deliveries in Dublin and in parts of Louth, Meath, Monaghan and Wicklow.
Fine Gael has accused both sides of being too focused on their own concerns and not on the difficulties facing businesses and the public.
Speaking earlier on RTÉ radio, the party's Communications Spokesman, Simon Coveney, accused the Government and union leaders of not trying hard enough to find a solution.
Mr Coveney said it would have to be resolved at some stage and he urged both sides to engage in talks.
