3 US troops killed by roadside bomb in Iraq

Three US soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb attack on a convoy south of Baghdad.

Three other soldiers were wounded in the attack near Iskandariya, about 50 km south of Baghdad, the US military said in a statement.

Earlier today, two employees of the American TV news network, CNN and three US soldiers were killed in separate incidents in Iraq.

CNN said its two employees, a driver and a producer, were shot dead when a two-car convoy was ambushed outside Baghdad. A cameraman was also wounded.

The US military has said at least three US soldiers have been killed and one wounded after a roadside bomb exploded in Iraq.

A US spokesman said the attack took place this morning in the town of Khaldiya, west of Baghdad.
