The Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has been holding an historic meeting at Government buildings tonight with political representatives of the loyalist paramilitary group, the Ulster Defence Association.
The members of the Ulster Political Research group travelled to Dublin tonight to discuss the concerns of the loyalist communities in the North with Mr Ahern.
Mr Ahern described the meeting as productive, and said he would be keeping in touch with the Loyalists.
A spokesman for the visitors, Tommy Kirkham, said that the meeting was historic and amicable.
