Labour has criticised the timetable for the early recall of the Dáil next week as a sham. The Government agreed to have the house sit a week earlier than planned after protests over the length of the Christmas break.
Next week, the Dáil will sit for periods on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, however there will be no order of business, or questions to the Taoiseach or ministers.
A Labour spokesman said the Government had artificially inflated the number of Dáil sitting days without allowing the opposition to call ministers to account.
