The Minister for Health and Children, Micheál Martin, has said he is confident the ban on smoking in the workplace will come into force in the coming months. Mr Martin said he will be announcing a date shortly for the start of the ban.
Mr Martin said he is anticipating a legal challenge, and preparations are being made for it.
