Afghanistan constitution talks adjourned

Afghanistan's grand assembly has adjourned talks on a new constitution for the country.

The 500-plus members of the grand council face a deadline tomorrow to reach a deal. The latest adjournment comes after three weeks of heated debate.

The assembly was halted on Thursday after 200 delegates boycotted a vote on several controversial amendments.

Among the stumbling blocks are arguments over official languages and whether ministers could have dual citizenship.
