Cabinet to meet in Farmleigh in '04

The Cabinet has agreed to special arrangements for its meetings during the six month Irish Presidency of the EU.

Ministers are to gather each week at the State guesthouse, Farmleigh, at 8am each Tuesday morning, instead of in Government Buildings at 10.30am.

The decision was taken because Ministers will be very busy due to the Presidency, and will not have other opportunities to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Today's meeting was the last of the year.
