The Irish Nurses Organisation is predicting severe difficulties for areas of the health service next year.
It says the failure of the Government to allocate additional funding - for specific areas - in last week's budget will result in more overcrowding in A&E departments and long delays for patients on trolleys.
Liam Doran, General Secretary of the INO, also says key aspects of Health Strategy will not be implemented
