As the North's election campaign moves to a close, the Taoiseach has said the British and Irish governments are determined to finalise outstanding issues following tomorrow's poll.
In a speech in Dublin last night, Mr Ahern said he would discuss the election outcome with the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair, at a meeting of the British-Irish Council in Cardiff on Friday.
He said he hoped to talk about the steps that can be taken to restore the Assembly and the Executive.
