Airports Authority review ruled out

The Minister for Transport, Séamus Brennan, has told Aer Rianta unions that he is ruling out any review of the Government decision to break up the Airports Authority.

Earlier this month, the General Secretary of the Congress of Trade Unions David Begg, wrote to the minister on behalf of the Aer Rianta group of unions offering to engage in talks without preconditions, chaired by an independent third party.

Last Monday, the group of unions served two weeks strike notice, with the first two-hour stoppage to take place on Tuesday, 4 November.
