Former Guantanamo Bay chaplin charged

The US military has charged a former Muslim army chaplin who worked as a spiritual adviser to prisoners at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba with improperly handling classified information.

Captain James Yee, also known as Youssef Yee, is one of three men being held as part of investigations into suspected security breaches at the detention camp where hundreds of Al-Qaeda and Taliban suspects are being held.

Two translators who also worked at the camp have already been charged.

Captain Yee was arrested last month when he arrived at an air base in Florida.
