Latvia has voted overwhelmingly in favour of EU membership.
In final official results announced by the election commission, 67% of Latvians voted Yes and 32.3% said No, after votes from all 1,006 polling stations were counted.
Only 0.7% of the votes cast were declared invalid.
Turnout was more than 72% in yesterday's referendum, the electoral commision announced.
It said that out of the country's 1.4 million eligible voters, 1.002m (72.53%) cast ballots.
By law, at least 35.14% of voters, or half the number who participated in general elections last year, must turn out in order for the plebiscite to be valid.
The vote was the last in a series of referendums in prospective EU member states, whose accession has already been approved by the Union's institutioons.
