Trimble and Adams in Stormont talks

Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble and Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams held talks at Stormont today.

Mr Trimble said the discussions were part of a normal process of keeping in touch with all parties involved in the political process.

Mr Adams did not disclose what specific issues were discussed but said no one should underestimate the difficulties that have to be overcome.

The two party leaders have agreed to have further meetings.
