A Loyalist group linked to the UDA is believed to have been behind two hoax bomb alerts this morning at the Holy Cross girls' primary school in the Ardoyne area of North Belfast.
It caused some disruption at the beginning of the new school year, particularly for a group of four year-olds going there for the first time.
The school is situated beside the Protestant Glenbryn area and was previously the focus for a sustained protest by Loyalists, who staged demonstrations two years ago as Catholic children and their parents went to and from the school.
The alert meant no pedestrians or vehicles could use the main entrance.
