The international Red Cross is planning to scale down its operation in Iraq, after warnings that it could be targeted for attack.
The number of the organisation's foreign staff in Baghdad is being reduced to about 50 because of the increasing level of violence throughout the country and fears that US-led forces cannot ensure security.
Other aid agencies have also reviewed their operations, following Tuesday's bombing of the United Nations compound in Baghdad, in which more than 20 people died.
