Ben Dunne has told the Moriarty Tribunal he never sought political favours from Michael Lowry.
He was responding to evidence from Mark Fitzgerald that Mr Lowry tried to secure a rent increase on a property owned by Mr Dunne which was leased by Telecom Éireann.
Mr Dunne told the Tribunal that all he ever asked Michael Lowry for was a few GAA tickets for the All Ireland.
Earlier, evidence was given by the General Secretary of Fine Gael, Tom Curran, of a litany of payments from Denis O'Brien and ESAT to the party in the run up to the awarding of the second mobile phone licence.
Between July 1994 and May 1996, Mr O'Brien contributed to nine different Fine Gael constituencies and to three national events, including a by-election.
In all he gave Fine Gael £22,400 at this time.
The figure does not include a $50,000 payment from ESAT Telenor to Fine Gael.
Members of other consortia applying for the licence gave payments totalling £2,400.
